Think you would like to start saving but can’t deal with the commitment of a long-term plan?

With National Bonds, depending on your preferred savings plan, you only have to commit to 30 days before redeeming your funds. If you have decided to save using a credit card, you can redeem your funds after 90 days.

Bonds issued with effect from 16 October 2017 under the Saving bonds category with non-regular saving mandate are exempted from deferred-payment subscription fee at the Company’s absolute discretion. For bonds issued prior to the above mentioned date, if you are able to commit for six months, we’ll waive off your 1%.  (min AED 15) deferred subscription payment. In case you signed up with a credit card, we’ll waive off the 2% deferred subscription payment after a holding period of 24 months.

In case you are signed up for a recurring number of monthly payments, the subscription fee of 1% (min of AED 15) of the total amount of planned payments will be waived if all payments are made in accordance with the selected plan.

Either way, you can pay off your subscription fee whenever you decide to cancel your plan or request for an early redemption.

Redeeming your funds

If you are residing within the UAE, you can easily redeem your funds with these simple steps:

  1. Log in to your account via our website or mobile app
  2. Select instant redemption
  3. Enter your online password and registered mobile number
  4. Enter the amount to be redeemed (max AED 10,000)
  5. View and confirm the amount, related charges and acknowledgement
  6. You will receive an Instant Redemption Code on your registered mobile number
  7. Visit any of our selected Redemption outlets within 14 days
  8. Present your IR Code and valid ID to collect your funds

Cheque redemption

If you would  like to redeem over AED 10,000, you may request for a cheque redemption by contacting us on 600-5222-79 (UAE).

While we are unable to accept request sent by email or fax, we are available to assist you six days a week, except Friday, from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm

Once the redemption request is processed, a cheque will be issued and couriered to you within approximately 5 working days.

A courier charge of AED 20 will be deducted from the bonds value on cheques redemption.

International redemption

If you would like to redeem funds while residing abroad, you will  receive your funds via a bank transfer. To organise this, please contact us on +971 4 384 8000, from Saturday to Thursday, 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM (GMT +4 Abu Dhabi).

  1. You will be asked to provide below information:
  2. Beneficiary name (must match the Bond Holder’s name
  3. Complete name of the bank (no initials accepted)
  4. Bank Account Number (as reflected in the bank statements provided)
  5. Bank Branch (complete address of the Bank)
  6. Swift Code (11 alphanumeric digits)
  7. Passport copy and bank statement or a bank letter

Please note that charges related to the money transfer may be deducted from the transfer amount by the respective banks.
